In a world where the only constant appears to be change, hope can sometimes be difficult to find. Jesus desires to provide hope in the face of the uncertainty and despair we face in life. Jesus does not remove all adversity. He gives us victory in the midst of it. He longs for you to walk with Him and to be your savior. Here are some verses and some basic points to help you see and experience the hope that comes from walking with Jesus.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
2 Peter 3:9 (ESV) ..all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 (ESV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 (ESV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." John 3:16-17 (ESV) ...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Ro 10:9-10 (ESV) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (ESV) |
1. God loves you. His desire is to have a personal relationship with you.
2. You are a sinner. We have all fallen short of God's plan for us and disobeyed Him. Our sin separates us from God. 3. Jesus died for you. You cannot save yourself. Only Jesus' death makes the relationship God desires to have with you possible. 4. You can be saved. Jesus' resurrection is evidence of His power over death and His ability to offer us eternal life. Trusting in Jesus is the only way to be saved. Admit to God you are a sinner. Ask Him to forgive you of your sin. Invite Jesus into your life as Savior and Lord. Commit to live for Him. Accepting Jesus is just the beginning. After accepting Him, be obedient by following Jesus in baptism and uniting with a local church. God has a purpose and a place for you. |
